Victoria Inn Colchester has been recognised in the 2026 Colchester & North East Essex CAMRA Pub of the Year awards, receiving City Runner-Up and being named Overall Cider Pub of the Year.
The annual awards from the local CAMRA branch recognise pubs across the area that consistently serve well-kept real ale, cider and perry while providing welcoming places for people to meet and enjoy them.
Congratulations to the other pubs recognised this year. The Ale House in Colchester was named City Pub of the Year, with Odd One Out receiving Highly Commended. In the rural category, Ye Olde Albion in Rowhedge took Rural Pub of the Year, with The Courtyard Tap in Halstead as Runner-Up and The Hare & Hounds in Layer Breton as Highly Commended.
We were also delighted that the Victoria Inn was named Overall Cider Pub of the Year, alongside The Live & Let Live in Stanway as Runner-Up and The Ale House in Colchester was Highly Commended in the cider category.
